Greetings from Kandahar!

Hi again guys!

Just wanted to let you know that we did an interview with all of the press here today so if you tune in to either Global, CBC or CTV tonight at 6:00 and/or 11:00 you'll see a segment about us being here to entertain the troops. I'm not sure what footage they'll show but you can get some insight as to where we are. Should be cool!

Also, here's my account of an experience we had this afternoon.......it's a memory that will be with me forever.....

As I mentioned in my last email, we were unable to do our show at the PRT yesterday because of transportation safety concerns ........ well, as it happens, some of the soldiers from the PRT came into camp today and mentioned that they were disappointed our trip there had been cancelled.  They were heading back out of camp today and would miss our show so we decided to give them an impromptu concert out in front of Canada House. It was amazing to see their once expressionless faces smile and see them tap their feet to the music, we even had them singing along and laughing with us. For that hour they forgot where they were and were able to let their guard down for a moment. That, in a nutshell is why we're here. They only had an hour and then had to leave very promptly. They asked us if we would take a picture with them by their tanks before they left so we went, watched them suit up, put on their head sets and radio in to the command.  After many hugs and hand shakes and thank you's and "be safe"'s we watched them, through our tears convoy away outside the safety of "the wire". It was a very emotional moment for all of us and as they passed, whomever had a free hand (both them and us) had it raised high in the air with our 1st finger and babyfinger raised up.....in unity............we shared a moment that will last in my memory forever.
